Financial Health Counseling
North Park Theological Seminary proactively addresses the financial concerns that come with getting a Seminary education and looking forward to a life in ministry. Starting with your application process, our staff will walk alongside you as you plan how you can afford to attend Seminary.
The Seminary is also one of 16 schools participating in a grant program funded by the Lilly Endowment, the Theological School Initiative to Address Economic Challenges Facing Future Ministers. Through this initiative, the Seminary is working to develop strategies that will improve the economic well-being of our graduates. Elements of this will include:
- Training students in financial literacy skills
- Coaching opportunities provided in partnership with the University, Evangelical Covenant Church, Covenant Trust Company, and Covenant Ministries of Benevolence
- Engaging other organizations and churches to consider ways theological education can be financed, including discussions of clergy compensation models and the development of loan programs.
